    Frequently asked questions

    What subjects does ICAS cover?
    ICAS tests six subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Digital Technologies, Writing, and Spelling Bee. Our tutors can prepare your child for any or all of these. Spelling Bee is available for Years 2 to 7, while the other subjects cover Years 2 to 12.
    How are ICAS results graded?
    Students receive certificates based on performance: High Distinction (top 1%), Distinction (next 10%), Credit (next 25%), Merit (next 10%), and Participation. Our goal is to move your child into the Credit-to-High Distinction range.
    When are the ICAS tests held?
    ICAS assessments are typically held between August and September each year, with each subject having a designated testing window. We recommend starting preparation at least one term before the test period.
